Rurad's 'In The Sticks' looking for a new editor
Anyone who has already read 'In The Sticks' this month (I'm a day late updating the newsletter page) will have seen that the current editor Snug Dave is standing down from the post at Christmas.
Here's an excerpt from the newsletter...

"Another Chapter Ends...
I am sorry to reveal that I shall be standing down as editor of "In The Sticks", with my last newsletter being the December 2024 issue. In addition, Charisma Bypass, who was a founding father of the RuRAD group when it started in 2003, also wishes to reduce his involvement as he will be turning 70 in February, a milestone I passed 2 years ago. Having spoken to a small number of RuRADians, it has been decided that there will be no search for a new team to edit and distribute the newsletter. Having said that, I personally feel that there is room in the "marketplace" for a local monthly real ale newsletter which focusses attention away from the urban centres of Derby and Nottingham. Both I and Charisma Bypass will offer any support and advice to anyone who feels they would like to set one up. Or alternatively, if someone feels that they have the technical skill and enthusiasm to carry on with "In The Sticks" then they should contact me or Charisma Bypass. Snug Dave."

'In The Sticks' has been a consistently brilliant and informative newsletter for the Amber Valley region (and beyond) over the years which I have always looked forward to reading when I've seen it in a pub or digitally more recently. I sincerely hope it continues for many more years and wish the new editor all the best in the post.
